Snow cones tend to be attributed to the heated city of New Orleans, to the beauty of the islands of Hawaii, someplace tropical and heavy with summer heat and most definitely not Tennessee. Jerry’s Sno Cones in Memphis, Tennessee, however, is doing their part to change the sweet stigma against southern snow cones. This bright pink shop serves up some of the best desserts in town, and it’s a must visit if you’re ever in Memphis!
Jerry's Sno Cones is located in a building that once operated as a Sinclair gas station during the 1920s and 1930s. Rumor has it that the owner of the station made snow cones for the local kids, and after closing up shop the building then reopened as a car wash and official snow cone shop.
Jerry's itself has been open since the late 1960s, and it's become a local fan favorite for kids and parents alike. It even made a cameo in the movie, "Great Balls of Fire," which in our book makes it a true Hollywood star.

A local legend, it's here that you can order up a "World Famous Snow Cone Supreme," where you'll run into everyone from the school principal to the mayor.

Of course, it's not just snow cones you can order at Jerry's. Folks rave about the burgers, massive and mouthwatering, that deliver a taste of summer all year long. You can even indulge in county fair favorites like funnel cakes and warm pretzels with dip, if you're a fan of savory over sweet.
All snow cones are gluten free and made with real sugar, which means whether you indulge in a grape or pink lemonade flavored treat you'll leave sated. No one leaves Jerry's without a smile on their face!
