Hey there, Tennessee! We have some hot weather coming up, as spring fades into summer, and we’re excited to share our NEW ice cream trail that will take you through the state of Tennessee. We mainly hit up some larger cities, but leave your favorite small town ice creameries in the comments below – we want to visit your town! As for now, let’s go east to west or west to east, from one side of the state to another, saturating our summer in something sweet. Care to take the trip yourself? You can find our map here.
A casual, low-key ice creamery, Sheridan's is famous for their frozen custard. If that ain't your style,
you can snag a smoothie, ice cream cone or perhaps a slice of pie or cup of coffee. They're open from 11-11 every day but Sunday, where you can visit from 12-10. (8075 Macon Road)
A dipped cone at Bobbie's is a true Nashville experience. Whether you choose from a peanut butter,
fudge or butterscotch dip, it's the perfect way to cap off a summer night. The walk-up spot is reminiscent of the 1950's, and you can order something savory like fries or a black bean burger if you need something to cut the sugar. (5301 Charlotte Avenue)
There are various locations in Nashville if you're looking for Jeni's, and the Ohio-based ice cream company has received rave reviews for its neat and streamlined design as well as niche flavors. We'd recommend the brambleberry crisp, but they offer (and encourage!) all the samples you need. (Various Locations)
A popular hand-made ice cream spot in Chattanooga, Clumpies has all sorts of crazy and comforting flavors perfect for a summer night. You can visit from 11-10 every single day of the week. Which means we can show up all the time, right? Right. (26 Frazier Ave # B)
Milk & Honey isn't just a beautiful branding scheme. No, it's a darling, tiny spot on North Market that is chock full of delicious treats, lunch items and coffee drinks. You can visit from 6:30am to 10pm every single day of the week. (135 N Market Street)
This tiny Loudon establishment is bursting with flavor and sweet southern kindness. Open from 12-9pm every day, you'll get your sugar dosage taken care of alongside a sweet reprieve from the expected healthiness of summer eating. Step back in time with Tic-Toc, why don't ya? (504 Grove Street)
A quirky and fun location in Oak Ridge, Razzleberry's sets you up for a tongue twisting fun time. The tiny spot encompasses the funk of the Atomic City, making it an ice cream sated adventure you'll never forget. (201 Jackson Square)
