The Historic Restaurant In Tennessee Where You Can Still Experience Good Old Country Living

There are a few things we hold near and dear to our hearts in Tennessee, and country living is one of those things. We have bustling cities filled with fun and excitement, but it’s often the quieter and simpler life that many of us here enjoy. Slowing things down and spending time with the ones you love most is pivotal to our way of life. There is a place that exemplifies that life so well we couldn’t help but share it. It may come as a surprise, but in the little town of Christiana, Tennessee, there is a small place called Miller’s Grocery. Despite the name, you won’t find groceries here anymore — but what you will find is good, old-country cooking. Now this grocery store turned into Miller’s Cafe but they kept the name to honor the history and roots which makes this place even better.

It was during those formative years and decades that he was able to build a loyal following. As men would arrive in the morning for coffee and biscuits, the word spread that this was a great place to hang out. When his business went up for auction in the '90s a woman bought it and turned it into a cafe. The name had become synonymous with the area, so the sign was left up to preserve that legacy.

The loads of guests that flock to the spot could all tell you, the change was a good one. Holding on to tradition and history, the walls are lined with some of the old grocery store signs and antiques creating a smorgasbord of history and paying homage to Mr. Miller himself.

Miller’s Grocery in Christiana, Tennessee, is now better known as Miller’s Cafe, or just simply Miller’s. The sign is still proudly displayed on the roof and we think that paying respects to those who have gone before you is a great way to pave the road to the future.
