One of the most impressive parts about living in Tennessee is the opportunity to experience history in the most unexpected ways. Whether it be a hiking trail or interpretive museum, history in the Volunteer State really is all around us. Today, we’ll introduce you to a relatively little-known attraction located just 15 miles south of Clarksville. Historic Collinsville is an authentic pioneer settlement that depicts what life was like in rural Tennessee in the nineteenth century. Situated on 40 acres of green rolling hills, this family-friendly attraction is equal parts picturesque and informative. Here’s more on why this pioneer settlement is a must-visit.
Historic Collinsville is located at 4711 Weakley Rd, Southside, TN 37171. The settlement is open for self-guided tours between April 20th and October 26th on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Available hours are open for groups of six or more with reservations.
