Tennessee is filled with waterfalls and beautiful gorges. From the plethora of waterfalls in the Great Smoky Mountains to the epic falls in middle Tennessee. We are blessed to have so many wonderful hikes and so many incredible views. Some of these waterfalls you have to hike long miles to get to. But we found a place called Ozone Falls in Tennessee, which is an easy family-friendly hike to see a gorgeous waterfall.

Shortly off of Interstate 40 in a quaint town called Crab Orchard you will find a simple little sign and a small parking area. From there, you are only a short distance from the waterfall.

Right from the parking lot you can walk out to the top of the falls. You will have a great view of the gorge in which Ozone Falls cascades down, and a unique perspective of this beautiful waterfall.

The trail leading down is a swift .3-mile hike.

The trip mostly will consist of stepping down rocks that form a natural staircase of sorts. The hike is very family-friendly, and in less than 15 minutes, you can be at the base of Ozone Falls.

Once you are down at the bottom of the falls, you will be greeted with a stunning view of this 110-foot waterfall. The water pours from the lip on top of the gorge and free falls down to a small rocky pool below.

There is something special about a waterfall that free falls. The singular line of water flowing down into a pool below just makes for excellent photos and amazing views.
There are plenty of places to enjoy the falls or the pool at the base.

Take a picnic lunch and spend some time with your family and friends. You can also take a path that leads behind the waterfall for another unique perspective. Or dip your toes in the water and enjoy the natural beauty all around you.

Ozone Falls in Tennessee, is definitely an easy and accessible hike leading to a beautiful waterfall. The simple trail is what makes this waterfall so appealing, plus the sheer scenery of it all. Spend the day lounging at the base or take a quick trip, but we suggest you add this to your list any time you are passing by the area.
