The largest Confederate graveyard in the south is located on the property, and folks say that they see soldiers walking the fields. There's said to be a young servant who still sweeps the kitchen, and the stately ghost of one of the four generals that lost their liives on the property. There's a section of the battlefield that is known as "The Bloody Pen," a place where a stand was solidly taken and many lives were tragically lost. This was the site of one of the most horrific hauntings in history. Even Andrew Jackson was said to swear off the place, where John Bell was said to be murdered by a poltergeist and the family suffered at the hands of the supernatural for years.
