Have you ever eaten dinner in a greenhouse? It’s a pretty niche location, one that you’ve probably looked over in the past – until now, of course. The Homestead Manor is known as a wedding venue and gorgeous old home just outside of Nashville, but it also boasts an interesting eating experience throughout the property. If you’re lucky, you just might be able to swing a dinner in their greenhouse area. If you’re lucky. (That means make a reservation, folks.)
The Homestead Manor is a historic landmark -- the site was finished in 1819 as a plantation house in the middle of the country, and it played host to 6000 troops during the Civil War.
The Glass Bar portion of the restaurant is in the mansion's former greenhouse and features a seating area for the restaurant as well as a bar serving up some of the best cocktails in the state.

If you'd like to experience the greenhouse without the hefty price tag of some of the menu options, try their happy hour! It runs from 4 pm to 7 pm on weeknights and 10 am to 3 pm on weekends.
While you're walking through the restaurant, be on the lookout for the famous cannonball that resides in the house. The cannonball lodged in a tree during the Civil War battle that took place on the grounds, and the ball has been passed from owner to owner ever since.

Head on down to Thompson's Station and check it out! They're open at 4 pm on weekdays and 10 am for brunch on weekends, and they close at 10 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 9 pm every other day. They're closed on Mondays, and you can find them at 4683 Columbia Pike.
