The zoo is broken up into three zones showcasing the 19 different exhibits. Enjoy the animals native to Yellowstone in the Teton Trek. Watch the elk graze in the grass, or see the mighty grizzlies roam.

The exhibit features African lions, jaguars, and many other big cats. Multiple viewing places along this massive exhibit allow visitors to take a peek at these giant felines in a nature-like setting.

These adorable cuddly gentle giants are only on display in three zoos across the United States. The China section of the zoo houses two pandas named Ya Ya and Le Le.

Ya Ya is the female, and her name means beautiful little girl. The male's name is Le Le, which means happy happy. They have been munching on bamboo ever since their arrival and are a precious part of the Memphis Zoo. We could sit almost all day and watch these two beautiful animals.

Come to the Memphis Zoo for the giant pandas and stay for the thousands of other animals. This certainly is a wonderful way to spend the day with your family and learn about wildlife from all over the world. We are thankful we have places like this to go and enjoy many of nature’s wonderful creatures.
