My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
While there’s no shortage of great dining in Tennessee, some of my favorite lunches are good, old-fashioned picnics. Whenever we as a family are eating a picnic lunch that means we are on an adventure and there is no greater place to be the outside exploring our great world. Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe in Chattanooga, TN, captures the essence of that feeling with quick bites and delicious BBQ. So in the spirit of adventure, I will show you this great lunch spot and also pair it with a few grand attractions for an awesome day in this river city.
Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe is located in, if you can believe it, an old gas station. The owners wanted a place wherein folks could gather and break bread, and there is no better way to do that than with great BBQ! This quirky little place is filled with fun decor from the inside out. You can sit down to enjoy your meal surrounded by odd and fun decorations or take your meal outside and enjoy the open-air dining.
The food is second to none with unique twists on classic favorites. Take the Rainbow Sandwich for instance. Why have just one type of sandwich when you can sample four? That's right: four different sandwiches in little bite-sized pieces for a whole tour of flavors.
Tennessee has quite a reputation for having some of the best barbecue in the country, so finding interesting combinations should come as no surprise. The BBQ Quesadilla is filled with succulent pulled pork and cheesy goodness.
Once you've had your fill of lunch, right down the road is a popular attraction and a must while visiting Chattanooga. The Incline Railway takes you up Lookout Mountain all while enjoying spectacular views from their train.
To further explore Lookout Mountain, head on over to Rock City for a whimsical adventure or head underground to witness the majestic Ruby Falls. What a day!
From the Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe In Chattanooga TN for lunch to a grand adventure on Lookout Mountain sounds like the perfect day. For more information about this fantastic lunch spot please visit the Purple Daisy Picnic Cafe website.
