There’s nothing quite like celebrating the 4th of July every year, what with the fireworks and the grilling out and the general feeling of holiday and excitement shared around the nation. Tennessee, of course, doesn’t go halfway when it comes to patriotic fun and games. We’ve put together a list of seven top-notch spots that are bound to give you the 4th of July celebration you’ve been hoping for. From Chattanooga to Nashville to the furthest reaches of the eastern state, there’s a little something for everyone. Where will you be going this holiday weekend?
Downtown Gatlinburg is always a happenin' place to be, but the July 4th Fireworks Finale is one of the best celebrations of the year. The fireworks will be launched from the Space Needle, and the incredible show begins at 11 p.m. It's even been designated as a Top 20 event by Southeast Tourism Society. Can't make the late night? 2. 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks in Nashville
Nashville, Tennessee. It's where you go to experience the Let Freedom Sing! fireworks show every year when downtown lights up with one of the largest shows in the state. This year, 2021, Brad Paisley will be headlining what is supposed to be the largest fireworks show in Nashville history. The show will even be synchronized to a live performance by the Nashville symphony! Find more information here.
Head to the Loudon Municipal Park this year for the city's annual Independence Day Celebration. You can visit to tailgate before the fireworks, and gates open at 5 p.m. You can enter until 8 p.m. when attendees will be capped, and the show will start at 10 p.m.

The city of Oak Ridge does a great job putting on a great fireworks show every year, and in 2021 the July 4th celebration is set to begin at 7:30 p.m. If you're planning to visit, make sure you bring a blanket or a lawn chair for outdoor seating! Find more information here.
Franklin doesn't skimp when it comes to celebrating the 4th of July, and this year events began on June 30th. The main event, however, is on the 4th itself. This year the fireworks show is still being considered due to fundraising concerns, but the daily carnival is still a go from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Keep an eye out for a finalized fireworks schedule for 2021! The city of Murfreesboro will be hosting the Celebration Under The Stars, its annual fireworks display for Independence day, at The Fountains at Gateway. There will be live music, and both blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged. Find more information here.
If you live in Wilson County, then Lebanon is THE place to be for the 4th. The annual celebratory event takes place at the James E. Ward Agricultural Center and includes a car and motorcycle show, live music, food carts, a 9 p.m. fireworks show. It's perfect for families! Find more information here.
