Well, we haven’t either, so when we discovered the Fortress of Faith tucked away in the midst of the Great Smoky Mountains, we fell in love. Not only with the beauty and eccentricity of the place, but the true Tennessee heart that beats behind it.
This Greenback, Tennessee fortress is one of the most interesting and unique structures, perhaps in the entire state. It's a Fortress built for God.
Junior Banks began building the Fortress of Faith in 1993, and he considers the building still "under construction".

The exterior wall of the Fortress measures twenty-five feet high at its exterior wall. You won't be hopping that wall anytime soon, so we'd recommend going through the correct channels for entrance. After all, admission is free!
