The Great Smoky Mountains are a fantastic sight all by themselves. To see towering green mountain peaks from far in the distance is awe-inspiring. The Island is a large shopping and family fun entertainment destination in the Smoky Mountain area. With tons of unique stores and lots of attractions, this is a fun way to spend the day. No matter where you find yourself on The Island, you can see the large Ferris Wheel.
The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel is a towering behemoth, sitting at 200 feet tall. This is one of the tallest Ferris wheels in the country; there are only a few wheels that are taller than this one.

The gondolas are air-conditioned, so you will not feel stuffy. As the wheel lifts, you are greeted with breathtaking views of the Great Smoky Mountains. You'll also get to enjoy views of The Island and the surrounding area.
At night, the wheel lights up, making it even more of a wondrous spectacle to behold. The colors dance and change, making this already attractive Ferris wheel even prettier.
