Every town needs a sweet shop. This was one of the driving forces behind this family-owned business. Janarty’s in Tennessee became that little sweet shop by making incredible homemade ice cream that has garnered a growing group of followers. The flavors are unique, you will be treated like family, and there is love in every scoop. Janarty’s is as sweet as the ice cream they make.
Janarty’s opened in September of 2018, and the little town of Smyrna is forever changed because of it. Among the quaint little shops and cafes in this small Nashville suburb, Janarty’s is the go-to place for ice cream lovers.
The name came from combining the owners' names, Janelle and Marty. This happily married couple had a dream to one day start their own business, and out of that, Janarty’s was born.
This beautiful manifestation of these two soulmates has become an extension of their love and spreading that love throughout their community. After lots of hard work and experimentation, they discovered some of the best flavors and now share those with their beloved customers. They have won several awards, and one of them was for best customer service. They truly love their customers and it shows in everything they do, so it should come as no surprise that they were the recipients of that reward.

You can spend time in this quaint little shop and take a seat inside, or enjoy the tables provided outside on a nice day. If it’s hot, you might need to eat your ice cream quickly, which shouldn't be too hard, because after your first bite, you will want to scarf it down quickly.
Even though the shop boasts up to 70 different flavors, you will only find eight pans of flavors per day. This allows for this handmade art form to maintain its freshness with every scoop. It also makes for an interesting visit because you never know what flavors you may find.
Every flavor has been carefully tasted and crafted with lots of behind-the-scenes work.
So when you see classic flavors like vanilla and double chocolate, then you know it will be one of the best versions you have ever had. There are also unique flavors, like coffee made from roasted beans coming from their neighbor's cafe, or blueberry lavender. No matter what you decide, we suggest you order it in one of the homemade waffle cones to get the complete experience.
Ice cream and customer service aren't the only things done incredibly well at Janarty’s; the shop also has baked goods. Satisfy your sweet tooth with some banana bread, brownies, cookies, and a whole lot more. Each dessert is crafted from scratch and is also gluten-free.
Janarty’s in Tennessee has everything you needed in a sweet shop. Delicious desserts, amazing ice cream, and extremely friendly and wonderful service all make this a must-stop place.
