My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
Here in Tennessee, we have big love for our farmers. Agriculture drives much of what we do, and although it is less prevalent than in years past, it still is very important to us. We love to see rolling pastures with grazing cows, beautifully constructed barns, and farmlands bordered with white fences — some 41% of the state is farmland, in fact! And the Farm Expo 23 event is a celebration of Tennessee farms and agriculture.
The Farm Expo is once again gathering all farmers, gardeners, or anyone with an appreciation for such work.
The 2023 event will be held at the Bristol Motor Speedway on Feb. 4-5. Tickets are only $10 per person and children 12 and under get in for free. So gather the family and make your way to East Tennessee, for an amazing weekend centered around farming!
The event will feature tons of vendors, workshops, and concerts just to name a few. Walk up and down the farmer's market and peruse the various goods that these hard-working farmers have been toiling in the fields over.
There is nothing like buying local and not only can you get some really good veggies but you can also find some incredible handcrafted gifts and more. It wouldn’t be a celebration without live music either, so the whole weekend will be filled with the familiar sounds of the Appalachians with pickers and musicians to serenade you as you shop.

Tractors are an essential part of any farming operation and there will be some shiny new toys to ogle over. Kubota of Kingsport will be there with their signature orange tractors and so much more.
Workshops will be available all weekend long so make sure to look at the schedule of events on the Farm Expo website (link below) so you don’t miss any of the great classes.
We can all learn a thing or two from someone who has gone before us and this is a great opportunity. Learn some landscaping techniques, how to knit a blanket, and even attend a class about snakes, featuring real snakes!
Hear the satisfying rev of a chainsaw during the wood carving demos. These mastercraftsmen have honed their skills with their chainsaws and make some pretty amazing creations right in front of you.
Kids will have plenty to do during this event as well. There will be face painting, storytime, and everyone's favorite, a petting zoo. You can’t have farm life without farm animals, and these lovable creatures will be ready to interact with kids and adults alike.
With so much to do at the Farm Expo 23 in Bristol, Tennessee, we are glad we will have a whole weekend to enjoy it. With live music, workshops, and a farmers market this is a farming dream come true. The event is scheduled for Feb. 4-5, 2023, so make sure you head on over to the Farm Expo website to get your tickets.
