Still, which state park, if you could only pick one (the agony!), would you stick with? It was a question we sought long and hard to answer, but the true choice was right in front of our noses: Fall Creek Falls State Park.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is quite possibly the most popular park in Tennessee behind the Great Smoky Mountains. Known for its waterfall cascades and meandering hikes through the heart of the state, it's a great spot for folks that find heart in the outdoors.
Make your way to Spencer, Tennessee, high atop the Eastern Cumberland Plateau to experience the gorges and waterfalls that give Fall Creek Falls its namesake.

There are trails for all weather and seasons within the 26,000 acre state park. You'll find some of the best vistas in the state from deep within and high above, but we're partial to quiet creekside views.

Hiking is arguably the most popular activity in the park, with long and short distances mapped out across the park. There are multiple day-use trails great for all ages, and even two long distance overnight trails for the more experienced.
If you're looking to stay overnight, Fall Creek Falls has an inn with 145 hotel rooms and a restaurant. You can also rent one of the 30 cabins on-site or 222 campsites.

Falls Creek Falls is the waterfall that gave the park its name, standing out amongst the five other notable cascades in Spencer. It stands at 256 feet tall!

Looking for something a little less standard? The Fall Creek Falls Golf Course is one of the best in the state, an 18-hole course that attracts some of the greatest players in the world. It's a low-key approach to a high-end sport, providing privacy and a great challenge in the heart of the south.
You can also head to The Canopy Challenge Course and make your way over bridges, rope swings, balance beams and across zip-lines in one of the neatest aerial adventure courses in the area.
