My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
Ah Paris, the City of Love. There are many romantic notions when you think of the capital of France; however, you have to cross a massive ocean just to get to it. That might not always be the most accessible way to travel, but lucky for us we have a Paris right here in our state! True to the name, this town also has its own Eiffel Tower. For an authentic European experience in the Volunteer State, take a trip to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tennessee.
This is a picture of the one-and-only Eiffel Tower -- the world-famous icon in Paris, France.
As romantic as that sounds, traveling all the way across the pond isn’t always easy so we have a solution: stay right here in Tennessee and visit the little town of Paris.
The Eiffel Tower Park in Paris, Tennessee, is a unique structure and that seems a bit anachronistic in the American South. So you might ask: how did Tennessee get a replica of the Eiffel Tower?
It all started with the "Memphis in May" festival that celebrates a different country each year. In 1990, the honored country was France, and so a wooden replica of the Eiffel Tower was erected. Later, it was moved to the park and remade as a steel structure and it stands to this day for all to enjoy.

The park’s focal point, of course, is the monument. There are lots of events in the park throughout the year, and at night they light up the tower which makes a beautiful display when the sun goes down.
Also in the park is a splash pad. They even themed the play area after the famous French monument, so you can slide down the acclaimed tower as well as run through water tunnels.
Rent this cozy cottage for a night or two and spend the extra time exploring the historic district of Paris and shopping at the many unique shops around town.
In the morning, take a trip to Jack’s Java Urban Cafe. Grab a pastry and a warm coffee, and if the weather is nice, sit outside and get a true cafe experience.
I love the idea of traveling abroad, but of course, we have so many great things right here in our state. So when you want a true French experience, head to the Eiffel Tower in Paris, Tennessee.
