There are no time machines available for use just yet, and perhaps if they are they’ve been hidden away in some secret vault. No matter where in the world they may be, we folks in Nashville have no access and a whole lot of unsated nostalgia for the world that once was. If you’re looking for a poor man’s way to head back in time, then you simply must wrangle the entire family and head out to Donelson Bowl in the heart of Middle Tennessee. Lit by neon lights and boasting a snack bar for all ages, this darling local place offers you a night you’ll never forget.
Donelson Bowl is located right outside of the city of Nashville, Tennessee, in a small suburb known as Donelson. It's a quiet area that's mainly populated by young families, and you'll find plenty of parks, small businesses and even a YMCA tucked away in the hills. Donelson Bowl has made itself known as a local fixture, and it's been entertaining families for years.
The interior looks like it was ripped straight from a movie set, and the prices are downright retro. Come and bowl for $1.50 a game on Mondays and Wednesdays, and for $2 a game the rest of the week. Games from 5 p.m. to close are $3.40 per game.
