As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
When it comes to camping, there are usually two kinds of folks: the classic campers and the vacationers. Some folks love strapping a tent to their backs and hiking out into the great outdoors, leaving all thoughts of indoor restrooms and congenial comforts behind. Others like to mesh their camping experiences with the comforts of home. Whether you’re a true adventurer or a camping softie, there’s a little something for everyone at the Camp LeConte Luxury Outdoor Resort. With multiple ways to stay and even a luxury treehouse or two, you can have your pick!
Camp LeConte is located in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and offers a fun campground experience with a whole range of overnight options. With free parking, WiFi, and kid-friendly services, it's a great spot for the whole family.
The resort offers a range of ways to stay. There's a luxury treehouse on site, retro camper options, a safari tent, as well as classic RV and tent sites. The RV pictured is called the "Ruby Slipper," and is available beginning at $139 a night.
Isn't this retro camper darling? You can book it under its moniker, "Glamping at Tiffany's." Each of the Camp LeConte retro campers is a replica of a historic 1961 Shasta Airflyte 16SC Travel Trailer. They're all outfitted with toiletries and towels and has room for two.
How can you miss out on a night in a safari tent? You can choose from options that sleep 2, 4, or 6 people. Located in Black Bear Bottoms, these truly unreal "glamping" tents were imported from Europe and boast a private sleeping area and storage cabinets for your use.
Of course, you can't skip out on the luxury treehouse tucked away on Raccoon Ridge. You can sleep high above the ground in the Smoky Mountains with a killer view of the famed Mount LeConte.
With so many ways to stay, there's really something for everyone at Camp LeConte. Folks rave about the cleanliness of the space and the friendly folks on-site, as well as the ease with which you can head into nearby Gatlinburg.
