The anticipation has been rising for months now and finally, the moment has come. First, the ground was prepared and the Gateway to the Smokies was filled with big construction vehicles and dust. Soon the building was erected, and the gas pumps were added. Lastly, a special road and new intersection were created to accommodate the massive crowds that just love this gas station. I have been witnessing the progression in the last couple of months and the talk around town gives one a sense of excitement and anticipation that’s palpable.
