It’s difficult to pay a visit to Tennessee without indulging in a little local flavor, and BBQ is one of the top meal options for locals and tourists alike. Sure, you can snag a platter of fried chicken or a bowl of perfectly creamy banana pudding, but the succulent juices of a plate of perfectly smoked meat are hard to resist. Bringle’s Smoking Oasis is off the beaten path in west Nashville, Tennessee, and it has managed to quickly garner a dedicated following. If you’re curious why this neon-adorned eatery has managed to sway the hearts of Nashvillians, then we have the answer.
Bringle's Smoking Oasis is the second barbecue concept in Nashville, Tennessee from pitmaster Carey Bringle. Bringle is also known as the culinary head behind Peg Leg Porker, the quintessential smoked meat eatery in The Gulch. The west Nashville restaurant focuses on an open-air gathering space with a community focus, so you can expect easy dining spaces and a slew of outdoor activities.
There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, and there are a handful of TVs that make it easy for you to catch up on the game while you eat. The fast-casual style of the restaurant ensures that you eat well and quickly, and you can choose to dine either inside or…
…on one of the largest outdoor patios in Nashville. The outdoor area is outfitted with games like cornhole, and it is fully fenced in so kids and pets can join in the fun. Make sure you order a beer on draft or a bourbon cocktail when the summer evenings get long and mellow or enjoy a drink at the bar when the colder seasons hit.
The smoked meats on the menu are prepared Texas-style, so expect options like ribs and brisket. If the kids are tagging along they can order from a children’s menu that has burgers and hot dogs. The smoked sausage is also delicious, and you can round out any meal with a side of turnip greens or spicy "cowboy" beans.
Quality is the name of the game at Bringle’s, and with a fully stocked, meat-centric menu it’s perfect for the self-proclaimed carnivore. Don’t sleep on the chorizo queso, either. The Texas flair adds an element of fun and spice to the otherwise classically southern Nashville BBQ scene.
You can visit Bringle's Smoking Oasis from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Thursday to Saturday, and until 8 p.m. on Sundays. Sorry, folks. The restaurant is closed from Monday to Wednesday, so make sure you get your fix!
Bringle’s Smoking Oasis may be off the beaten path but it is a great spot to visit if you ever find yourself circling Music City. You can learn more about it either on its official website or Facebook page.
