Tucked away in the corner of East Tennessee, there’s a little city nestled within an area known as the Tri-Cities. This is a great place to get away from it all that feels far removed from the hustle and bustle of urban life. It’s here where you’ll find Bluff City, a wonderful small town in Tennessee filled with lots to see and do. So if you plan on spending the day or a whole weekend, here are some fun things to do in Bluff City, Tennessee.
Bluff City was settled in 1767, and things looked a little bit different back then.
Notably, the town underwent a couple of name changes. Originally the town's name was Choate’s Ford then later was changed to Middletown, Union, Zollicoffer, then back to Union, until finally arriving to the name Bluff City in the year 1887. The whirlwind of name changes didn’t affect the generations of people who have called this city home over the years: always friendly, loyal, and filled with Southern hospitality.
