My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
I understand the “birds and bees” well enough to know that buildings don’t produce offspring, but if two structures could have a baby, it would result in this Log Cabin. Combining the best of castle and log cabin architecture, this rental ends up being one of the most unique places to stay in Sevierville, TN. With so many great accommodations in Tennessee, we have fine choices to pick from and this castle should be somewhere high on your list. A unique twist to a typical Smoky Mountains getaway might be just what you need this year.
From the outside, the tall towers make it abundantly clear that it is, in fact, a castle.
Upon a closer examination, however, you will also notice painted log siding. This strange combination of architectural styles is certainly a unique pairing and that is just the beginning of this fantastic rental.
Open the doors and you'll find yourself blown away by the wooden interior. Exposed wood beams and stately pillars made from beautiful cuts of wood add a massive variety of character to each room. The Smoky Mountain area is known for some pretty elaborate log cabins, but this rental takes it a step further.
Part of the fun is just exploring the house and trying to find all of the phenomenal features. Wooden log chandeliers, a wooden throne, and many regal accents are sprinkled throughout the property. The rental can sleep up to eight people and includes everything you need for a short weekend getaway or a week-long vacation.
The number one place is, of course, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Find miles of trails, waterfalls, overlooks, scenic drives, and more in this garden of paradise in Tennessee. There is no end to the adventures you can have in this national park, and it is always worth the visit no matter what time of the year you find yourself visiting.
If you want to continue the "castle theme" of your trip, take a drive just down the road to the Castle of Chaos.
Not only is this a fascinating building to look at -- I suggest admiring it for the many little details found all around the exterior -- but this place houses some pretty unique attractions. The 5D theater features different movies where you ride on the rails for a wild adventure where you blast your way through a dark carnival, an "old western" with robots(!), and other rotating rides. This castle is owned by the Hollywood Wax Museum which shares the same parking lot and you can get an unlimited ticket for everything in the castle and the museum. For more details, please visit the Hollywood Wax Museum website.
After a long day in the area, coming back to the Log Castle is a welcomed retreat. Enjoy the incredible view of the mountains from the balcony or soak in the hot tub under a blanket of stars. This is your kingdom, so live like kings and queens during your stay!
What do you think: is this not one of the best unique places to stay in Sevierville, TN? The beautiful space is certainly one-of-a-kind while maintaining that Smoky Mountain charm we love. For more information or to book your night stay, please visit the Log Cabin Vrbo page.
