I know I am a bit biased, but Buc-ee’s in Tennessee is simply the best. I know the store started in Texas and is working its way all over our country at this point, but do you want to know what the best Buc-ee’s location is? Sieverville, TN! In Sevierville, Tennessee, you’ll find Buc-ee’s conveniently located right off of Interstate 40, the “gateway” to the Great Smoky Mountains. The Sieverville, Tennessee, store is also the biggest Buc-ee’s in the world, which just gives us that much more to love about it.
I have to be honest, when I first started to see the construction vehicles paving the way for what was going to be the world’s biggest Buc-ee’s, I didn’t understand all of the hype. I had never been to one before so I had no frame of reference at first.
I started to catch a glimpse of excitement when I saw the dozens of gas pumps being put in; it was rather impressive just how many there were! I was also perplexed when I saw road work creating a whole new light to accommodate the influx of people that were anticipated to visit. When it opened, people traveled in from all over to witness this historic location in Sevierville and I joined in to see why everyone loved this "gas station" so much. I can now humbly say I was ignorant and now I understand just how amazing Buc-ee’s really is.
When I first stepped into this glorious rest stop I was immediately blown away. The whole place was busy with families and travelers browsing the shelves and racks like it was a mall -- not a mere gas station! I had honestly never seen anything quite like it.
I shopped through each section and was astounded that they had clever button-up shirts for men, camping supplies, kids' toys, home goods, and so much more. I laughed to myself when I first saw carts lining up by the door, but I was wrong, you could easily fill one of those carts and since then we actually have. We had to try the bathrooms, too, which are advertised as the "cleanest bathrooms around" -- and I have to say, that statement is not overexaggerated in the slightest.

Buc-ee’s is now a must-stop every time we travel through on our way to the Great Smoky Mountains. Our girls are always excited to get their favorite slushies while I pump gas at the lowest-priced gas pumps in town. We have learned that Buc-ee’s is a great place to fuel our car and our bodies for the next adventure we embark on.
The snack section is second to none and the Buc-ee’s Beaver Nuggets are one of our favorites. Don’t forget the beef jerky bar for some dehydrated delights -- but my number one favorite item is the beef brisket sandwich. Forget everything you know about gas station food because you won’t find pathetic sweaty hotdogs on a warming roller here, but instead real food made with fresh ingredients. The mounds of meat they stack on the BBQ sandwiches are like an explosion of smoky flavors with every bite. I cannot recommend it enough.
One trip is all it took and we, too, fell in love with Buc-ee’s. Everyone in our family gets excited as we approach closer and start to see the billboards reminding us of the heavenly experience awaiting us past the off-ramp of the interstate.
Here is one more pro tip for you before you experience it yourself. We spend a lot of time camping on our adventures and we also buy our firewood from Buc-ee’s! You would think that dried wood is the same no matter where you get it, but the wood at Buc-ee’s burns better than any other bundle we have bought and has that iconic crackling and popping we all love from a campfire. Oh, and the smell from the smoke is better than you can even imagine. It's true!
I have been many times since they opened the world's biggest Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, Tennessee, and as you can see we are now huge fans of the best rest stop in the country!
