I have driven up and down the Parkway in Pigeon Forge many times now and among all of the crazy buildings we noticed something that piqued my interest. There is a small restaurant that always has a full parking lot and no matter how many times we have driven by, or what time of the day it is always full. The big sign proudly declares the name, Local Goat, so I had to find out more. What I found was a fun restaurant that serves some incredible food and has everyone in town talking. Not only do they have one location but two so allow me to take you in for a closer look at the Local Goat in Tennessee.

The restaurant is casual but maintains high standards regarding service and delicious dishes. Aptly named the Local Goat makes everything from scratch every day sourced from local ingredients. They also feature local artists' masterpieces on the wall and have a good presence in the community.
The atmosphere of the restaurant has a particular ambiance to it.
Looking for a romantic dinner for two? This is a perfect place to take that special someone for date night or celebrate your team's latest win. To add to the whole vibe found inside the restaurant you can find large hand-painted pictures of classy goats which I find very charming.

Location and atmosphere are certainly important but they won't mean anything if the food isn't good.
That is one problem you will not have to worry about at the Local Goat. As I previously stated, everything is made from scratch with local ingredients. So something as simple as a french fry tastes significantly better having been freshly hand cut that day.
They have some amazing options on the menu ranging from pasta to rib eyes but I have to say the burger selection certainly caught my eye. They have seventeen different items on what they call “Gourmet burgers and exquisite handhelds.” Not only is that a fantastic name but prepares your tastebuds for a tasty feast.
Some of the burgers most likely will be combinations that you have never tried before but are oh-so-good. For instance, they have a burger called the Elvis with peanut butter, smoked bacon, and fried bananas, inspired by the king of rock n roll’s favorite sandwich, no doubt. Or you can try the Jackson Hole Bison Burger made with real ground bison. Now we are a long way from Yellowstone but that's okay, it's a national park thing.
You will undoubtedly fall in love with the Local Goat and if you do then the merch cubbies is the place you will want to stop at on your way out. Show some Local Goat love by proudly displaying it on a fun shirt, hat, or even stock up on some goat soap while you are there.
The parking lot is always full at the Local Goat and it is easy to see why. Amazing food and excellent service, all paired with a fun atmosphere make the Local Goat in Tennessee a go-to spot. If you want to get a table I would recommend getting a reservation because it can be hard to get in such a highly sought-after place.
