October is the time of year for jump scares and gory tales, right? Right. It’s when you buy pumpkins but watch scary movies, when you indulge in corn mazes and caramel apples but still find the time to wander through haunted houses at night. If you’ve never made your way to Nashville Nightmare in Madison, Tennessee, then you definitely are missing out. This creepy place knows how to pack a punch, and there’s nothing that says “Halloween” more than a haunted house. Check it out below!
Nashville Nightmare is actually located just a hot second north of the city center itself, in Madison, Tennessee. It's been listed as a top haunted house not only by local publications, but by news outlets such as USA Today.
Although it's referred to as a "haunted house," Nashville Nightmare is actually made up of six different creepy spaces. From the Reformatory that boasts an eerily intense exorcism...
There are other activities throughout the event court, including carnival games and mini escape games. Of course, we'd highly recommend visiting ALL the haunted houses.
Although you will not be touched by any actor during your trip through haunted spaces, if you choose to take part in the "Clown" experience, you'll sign a waiver to indulge in the creepiest experience on the premises. You may be touched on the legs, arms, back, and head. This creepy indulgence does cost a bit extra, but you're bound to be terrified!
There are three tiers of tickets, including general admission, a fast pass and a "skip the line" option. Every ticket will give you admission to the Reformatory, Twisted Tales, Phantoms, Rigor Mortis and Secotr 615 haunted houses on-site.
