My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
When I was a kid there was a long-time family friend who had a camp located on an island in the middle of the lake that we would visit. At night we would wait till the sun would set and watch as hundreds of bats came out for the night. The sky seemed to swirl and move as swarms of winged beasts searched for their nightly meal. The experience left me in complete awe and after all these years I still talk about those nights. Similar to that inspirational event are the bats of Nickajack Cave. Book a tour to take a kayak out to this partially drowned cave to witness this natural phenomenon for a wonderful and unique adventure here in Tennessee.
Have you ever heard of the bats of Nickajack Cave? Witnessing thousands of these creatures flapping their wings and collecting their food all while enjoying a beautiful sunset just sounds perfect to me. If you want to embark on this amazing tour make sure to check out the Cattanooga Guided Adventures website to book your date.
