Since 1980, Zoomars River Street Ranch has charmed over 3 million visitors. For good reasons, too! The resident animals are so darn cute that you would hate to leave them behind when it is time to go home. Here is what you can expect when you visit this little ranch located in the Los Rios Historic District of San Juan Capistrano.
As the only petting zoo in Orange County, the ranch offers 100 animals. We adore the horses, especially Speedy and Thor. Speedy is a goofy Pinto who loves rolling in the dirt, and Thor, a Fjord, loves the camera. He never tires of showing off his good looks!
Lili the llama is a crowd favorite. You will find her cuddling or standing next to Thor. Sheffield the alpaca is gorgeous and a lover of water and sunbathing. The pigs, Anna and Elsa, are so adorable that you will not want to stop petting them.
Don't tell her, but Maddie the sheep thinks she is one of the goats! She's the perfect mix of sweet and quirky. Rhino and Arya are Nigerian dwarf goats born on the ranch. They are nice to visitors and enjoy sunbathing in the California sun.
Don't be intimidated by Angel the emu. Yeah, she looks fierce, but she loves cuddling and receiving affection from ranch hands. You can win her heart easily - just give her bite-sized carrots and apples!
Another reason Zoomars River Street Ranch is so special is that it offers six attractions. They include a guinea pig pen and a goat and sheep pen where you can hold, feed, and pet the friendly residents.
There is a playground complete with four slides, climbing features, a bridge, and a play area. Kids can also enjoy mining activities and train rides, purchase baskets, and jump on excavators and tractors.
