It’s impossible not to be moved by the vibrant hues and natural beauty, so we thought we’d share one of our favorite hikes where you can see the wildflowers in person this time of year. To reach the Bane Canyon Loop Trail, you'll want to head to Chino Hills State Park via the Bane Canyon entrance.

Chino Hills State Park is located in San Bernardino County in Chino.
The lovely property has a variety of trails to choose from that are quite beautiful during the spring season.

Early in the season, you'll only see a hint of Chino Hills State Park wildflowers along the trail.

If you're seeking a longer hike or something that's more challenging, you can always continue along other trails throughout the park to increase the distance of the journey.
Along the trail you'll see colorful poppies spring to life, and the color is so vibrant you won't believe your eyes!

What are some of the best places to see wildflowers in Southern California?

  • Wallace Creek Trail (Santa Margarita): Located in Carrizo Plain National Monument, this easy hike journeys along a section of the San Andreas Fault. Look for the pretty wildflowers along the way beginning in March.
  • Carpinteria Bluffs Nature Preserve (Carpinteria): The lovely property offers free views of Santa Cruz, Anacapa, and the Santa Rosa Islands. Visit the bluffs for hiking, landscape painting, and viewing birds and the seasonal wildflowers.
