Although we love our neighbors to the north, we are two very distinct destinations. Although we are part of the same state, NorCal and SoCal couldn't be more different from one another.
Indeed, we have seasons just like the rest of the country. Winter, spring, summer, and fall can all be experienced in the various parts of SoCal. Whether it's snow you seek or crisp leaves during the autumn harvest season, you can find the best of every season right here in SoCal.

Whether it's morning, afternoon, or evening in Southern California, traffic is just one of those things that is always there no matter what time of day we're driving. And even though we're used to the traffic here and we fully expect it each and every time we get behind the wheel, we still can't help but cringe as we sit in a parking lot of cars on the freeway.

When it comes to making us cringe while driving, road construction is right up there with traffic. Especially during rush hour. Why, oh, why is there always road construction during rush hour?
We're lucky to live in a part of the country where we can enjoy as many meals outside as we'd like. Whether it's an afternoon picnic, a patio at our favorite local restaurant, or a night of dining under the stars, we will always prefer to enjoy a meal outside.

Whether you're waiting in line inside or waiting in line at the drive thru, that moment when you see just how many people are in front of you always makes us cringe.
We're very conscious about the environment here in SoCal. We're not sure why anyone would choose not to recycle, so it's needless to say that seeing recyclable items being tossed in the standard trash is enough to make us cringe.
With that said, we'd much rather see trash of any kind in the wrong bin instead of on the ground. Litter in our ocean, in the woods, or even litter that's scattered on the street or sidewalk is always a sad sight to see that will make anyone in SoCal cringe.

Although it is a lot more convenient for us to go to Disneyland than the rest of the country, the price of tickets are enough to make us cringe so Disneyland is definitely not a frequent outing.
When it comes to Mexican food, Southern California offers a ton of locally owned restaurants serving up authentic cuisine that will make your mouth water. So when it comes to dining out for Mexican food, you'll never see us heading for a chain restaurant as there are too many local gems to choose from.
