I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Humble in appearance but big on flavor, this incredible BBQ restaurant in Southern California is a true local gem.
Westside Pit BBQ, located in Rialto and serving surrounding areas, is deeply rooted in family and its story is proudly displayed on the dining room wall.
As a child, the owner observed his parents selling their home-cooked barbecue in their own neighborhood before opening a restaurant by the same name, Westside Pit BBQ, where they treated customers like friends.
From the barbecued meats to the classic sides to the enticing desserts, this is comfort food at its best, made with recipes that have come from three families over six generations. Blending fried fish, Southern soul food, and traditional barbecue, Westside promises to keep you coming back for more.
There is clearly no mass production here. From ribs to hot links to chopped pork sandwiches, you can tell by looking at the food that it was hand-prepared.
