Here in Southern California, we can be a pretty predictable bunch. Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or you’ve only just arrived and just started calling this place home, there are a few things that we can bet will be inside everyone’s home.
1. Reusable Trader Joe's bags.
Not only do we love shopping at Trader Joe's here in SoCal, but you can bet we have a stash of TJ's bags tucked away for all of our grocery runs.
2. Organic groceries.
When it comes to the groceries stocked in our cupboards, it's fair to say you'll find plenty of organic items on the shelf.
3. A beach umbrella.
We love our beaches here in SoCal and always have our beach supplies on the ready including a giant beach umbrella that will protect us from the harsh sun.
4. Flip-flops.
When it comes to footwear in Southern California, nothing else can compare to the comfort and style of our beloved flip-flops.
5. An outdoor thermometer.
When you live in a climate like SoCal where the sun is shining most every day of the year, you find yourself wanting to know the exact temperature outside so you can brag to your friends and family who live in chillier climates.
6. A fan to cool off the house.
When the temps start to creep up in the summertime, you'll see the fans come out in order to avoid turning on the air conditioner as long as possible.
7. Sunscreen.
When you live in Southern California, having some sunscreen on hand simply becomes second nature.
8. Aloe vera gel.
On those days when your sunscreen didn't exactly do the trick or you stayed out in the sun too long, a bottle of aloe vera comes in handy and may also be found hiding somewhere in the house.
9. Sunglasses.
When you live in sunny SoCal there's no doubt that you'll find a pair or two of sunglasses laying around.
10. Fresh produce.
With access to farm-fresh produce all year long, you'll find most kitchens stocked with tons of fruit and veggies from the local farmers market.
11. Lemons from a lemon tree.
Even if you don't have a lemon tree in your own backyard, chances are you know someone who does and they keep you stocked up with fresh lemons all season long.
