I have always been a little obsessed with the night sky. My grandpa was an amateur astronomer and when I was a kid, he would often take me outside late at night to look through his many telescopes (some of which he built himself!) at constellations, moon craters, Saturn’s rings, the storm spot on Jupiter, etc. Even now, one of my favorite things about camping has always been the clear, dark skies away from the city, seeing shooting stars and the Milky Way.
