If you spend any time exploring Southern California, it won’t take you long to realize that the beaches are second to none. And while each one is unique and wonderful in its own way, we’re especially fond of the sprawling stretch of ocean and shoreline at Point Mugu State Park. While some amenities are temporarily closed due to current conditions, there are still plenty of ways to enjoy a day at this nature lover’s paradise.
The beach is about 15 miles south of Oxnard on Highway 1.
The various landscapes all brought together by the ocean are nothing short of enchanting.

And while the Nature Center and group beach camping are currently unavailable, there are still numerous ways to enjoy the park.

The beach also features body surfing and surf fishing.
But currently, you're still welcome to enjoy the park until the sun goes down.
And since it borders the Boney Mountains State Wilderness Area, you'll always have plenty to see.
