When we think back on some of our favorite spots from Southern California’s past, it’s easy to feel nostalgic. From favorite restaurants, an iconic department store, and even a long-time cinema, these are some of the places that we will never stop missing.

1. From 1963 to 2000, a night at the movies at Edwards Cinema in Newport Beach was the perfect place to go out.

From hit movies to big buckets of popcorn, the weekends were never the same once Edwards Cinema closed its doors in early 2000.
2. If weekends at the mall were part of your SoCal routine, then there's no question that you still miss heading to Robinson's Department Store to do a little shopping.

3. In 1998, Rock-A-Hoola Waterpark opened to the public and quickly became a popular place for families and groups of friends to hang out for some fun in the sun until its closure in early 2000.

4. From 1923 to 1986, the iconic Golden Bear night club was a hotspot where people flocked for tasty food and good tunes.

With headliners like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Doors, it's no wonder this is one destination that is still missed after all these years.

5. From 1970 to 1984, Lion Country Safari was a rare destination where you could drive through a wildlife park from the comfort of the car to view the many animals.

There was nothing tastier than one of their burgers, especially for just 35 cents! 
7. Whether you were a kid tagging along with mom at the grocery store or you were the grown-up pushing the cart, the Alpha Beta was always an inviting and familiar place to shop here in SoCal.

8. Although most things have gone digital now, it won't stop us from missing a trip to Tower Records to browse the latest tunes.
