There are so many ways to get out and enjoy the beauty of our great state. And if you’re looking for a fabulous way to stretch your legs, the Mount Baldy Notch Trail will take you up in the Southern California mountainside for jaw-dropping views. Bring your hiking boots and a camera to capture these amazing views, because this is one summit you won’t want to forget!
If you want a challenge, you need to head on out to Angeles National Forest.
Bring plenty of water, sunscreen and a hat, and some snacks. You’ll want to be prepared with hiking boots and a hiking pole if you want one. There are no switchbacks on the way down. It’s a straight shot, so the hiking pole can be a help during your descent.
It’s wonderful training if you’re going for the bigger peaks of Mt. Whitney or Half Dome. And you’ll love the trees and wildflowers you’ll see all along the trail.
This is a wonderful day hike, that take at least a couple of hours to finish. Most complete it around five and a half to six hours.
Even though it’s a challenging one, you’ll love every minute taking in the views. Put this trail on the top to your list for the next time you want a challenging, yet rewarding, hike!
