Hiking is a great way to get some exercise while enjoying Southern California’s natural beauty. But if you’re a beginner or you have a young family, taking on a challenging trail can be a bit daunting. But if you happen to be near Monrovia, you’re in luck… the Monrovia Canyon Waterfall Trail is a short, fairly easy hike your whole family will enjoy.
Please note, Monrovia Canyon Park is closed indefinitely due to fire damage.
The Monrovia Canyon Waterfall Trail is a 1.6 mile out-and-back hike that's located on the outskirts of Monrovia.
Drive north for 1.1 miles to Foothill Boulevard. Take a right, drive four blocks to Canyon Boulevard and turn left. Drive north to the park entrance station, taking two right turns to stay on Canyon Boulevard. You should start seeing signs for the trail soon after.

The trail begins at the Monrovia Canyon Park Nature Center, promptly taking you into the forest.
It's well worth the small investment to enjoy such a peaceful nature walk.
