Head to this little-known trail and you’ll find a woodsy hike in a serene setting that leads to a small but delightful waterfall. It’s the perfect way to spend a leisurely afternoon in Southern California in a picturesque destination that will leave you feeling completely refreshed.

As you head down the main road, be on the lookout for the Camp Seely sign. This sign is easy to spot so it's a great landmark to look for on your way to the trail.

Shortly after you pass the Camp Seely sign you'll see the sign for Heartrock Trail. You may have to squint your eyes a bit, but if you look closely you'll see the sign with arrows pointing you in the right direction.
Once you arrive the fun begins as this trail is truly short and sweet. Clocking in at only 1.5 miles roundtrip, this is a memorable way to experience a hike and a waterfall without spending your entire day on the trail.
It's also the perfect place to be on a hot day. With an abundance of trees and plenty of shade, this is a hike to savor once the temps heat up in SoCal. You can count on staying nice and cool on this trail all year long.
And just when you least expect it, you'll come across Heart Rock Waterfall. This small but delightful waterfall is a little slice of heaven hiding along the trail.
