I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Wherever I am in the world, I love straying from the beaten path, experiencing local life, and discovering hidden gems - camera in hand. The beach is my happy place and when I am not there (or writing), you will usually find me baking, watching movies, and cuddling my pugs. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and it never, ever gets old. Being able to combine my passion for travel and my love of writing is nothing short of a dream.
As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Being surrounded by nature is just good for the soul. When I need to truly unwind, relax, feel my shoulders drop a little… there is nothing like the smell of mountain air, the sight of lush green trees, or the sound of the ocean to start melting away the stresses of the everyday. If you are in need of a little nature therapy, you are going to love this private reserve with its two glass cottages in Santa Barbara, CA.
Each of the cottages has its own unique design and personality, is secluded for total privacy, and features a single queen bedroom with breathtaking views. They can be rented separately or together for up to four guests.
The first of the two is the Dreamy Glass Cottage with a unique design that allows it to blend perfectly into the woods. The two mirrored sides reflect the gorgeous trees around it, while the clear windowed sides bring the views right into the room. The redwood deck is perfect for relaxing, doing a little yoga, etc.
The second rental space is the Fantastical Cottage, made up of vintage framed windows for a playful take on glass walls that let you wake up to the sight of sycamore and oak trees.
This cottage also has a large redwood deck and is completely fenced, perfect for guests who want to bring a furry friend along and let them roam and play off leash.
On the top tier of the grove property, there is a hot tub and pool area surrounded by trees and mountains. The pool and hot tub are open to use by guests of the cottages, whether cooling off on a hot day or soaking under the stars.
If the cottages are booked by separate parties, the pool and hot tub area is private to each party on a take-turns basis.
The property is a 3-acre grove set against the gorgeous Santa Barbara mountains. It is just 10 minutes from downtown Santa Barbara if you want to do a little shopping, dining, or wine tasting, but it also feels a world away.
