I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Wherever I am in the world, I love straying from the beaten path, experiencing local life, and discovering hidden gems - camera in hand. The beach is my happy place and when I am not there (or writing), you will usually find me baking, watching movies, and cuddling my pugs. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and it never, ever gets old. Being able to combine my passion for travel and my love of writing is nothing short of a dream.
The farm-to-table movement has spread throughout Southern California (as elsewhere in the country) in recent years. Many of us seek out eateries that make it a point to support local businesses and producers, and to use mainly locally-sourced ingredients in their culinary creations. But did you know that a similar movement is hitting the adult beverage industry? You can enjoy a farm-to-glass experience at this unique brewery in Thousand Palms, California.
A noble idea developed into the first brewery in Southern California’s desert in 2013 when Coachella Valley Brewing Company was established.
Coachella Valley Brewing Company is dedicated to sustainability and partners with leaders in the local agricultural community as well as small, local farmers.
In addition to a focus on local ingredients, this environmentally-conscious business employs a highly efficient brewing system and green technology when it comes to sanitation and cleaning.
Even waste is handled differently than at other breweries, with normally discarded grain being given to local fields and farms to use as feed and compost.

Local flavors, including citrus, honey, herbs, and spices, inspire creativity in crafting a truly unique line of beers of the highest quality.
Beers are available to take home and enjoy in a variety of sizes, including 22-ounce bottles, four-packs of cans, or either 32-ounce or 64-ounce growlers.
Every day, something new is happening at the brewery, from live music and open mic nights to comedy and poetry to trivia games. There are several “appreciation” nights a week where discounts and gifts are offered to hospitality industry workers, teachers, etc.
Coachella Valley Brewing Company’s farm-to-glass brewing makes the most of local flavors. Have you tried any of these beers? We would love to hear what you think in the comments. Learn more about the process and see what’s on tap at the brewing company’s website or on Facebook. Want more reasons to visit the Coachella Valley?
