Ready for a slightly challenging outdoor excursion? Etiwanda Falls Trail is a magnificent walk to take this weekend. Located on North Etiwanda Preserve near Rancho Cucamonga, it will allow you to experience relaxing nature with a beautiful waterfall in just an hour of walking!
At about 3.4 miles long, this trail is the perfect length for getting all your steps in while still allowing you the rest of your day free. It can be easy to forget that gorgeous features like Eitwanda Falls are just a quick drive away from the cites!
As you move along the trail, take your time so you don’t miss a thing about the landscape all around you. The wide-open spaces are not commonly found in the busy parts of town in which you might normally find yourself.
The view is amazing all along the walk. You can see for miles! The landscape is full of incredible mountains and valleys, and you can even see into town. Seeing everything from far away is a nice way to put things into perspective and feel connected to nature.
The waterfall and river are so lovely that you’ll want to check them out from as many angles as you can. The view is lovely and there’s nothing quite like the peaceful sound of water running over the rocks and into the flow of a brook.
Sit in the tranquil area for a while once you’ve made it here. While it may not be the best-known waterfall in Southern California, you might have a little bit of company to enjoy it with you.
Etiwanda Falls Trail is the perfect place to hike if you’re looking for a break from the biggest tourist destination trails. It’s quiet enough that you’ll likely have plenty of time to yourself, especially if you leave early in the morning. What’s your favorite part of this hike?
