If you live in a Southern California city, you may wonder if we even have any truly rural areas left, but we actually do! And I am glad, too, because life can be pretty hectic, and as much fun as wining, dining, and sightseeing can be (believe me, I love that too!) sometimes you just want to escape it all and feel the quiet, calm, and solitude of the country. So I am excited to show you this lovely rural Airbnb in Fallbrook, CA, where you can really get away from it all and recharge.
You may or may not have heard of the tiny agricultural town of Fallbrook, a town that claims the title of "Avocado Capital of the World." This tranquil and comfortable rental is a two-bedroom casita right in the heart of a 50-acre avocado grove.
As you enter your private escape, you will find an open-concept living space that includes a spacious living room, dining room, and full kitchen with a breakfast bar. With doors and windows at the front and back, the entire space is flooded with natural light and stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
This is a unique house for a few reasons, one of which is that the two bedrooms are located on either side of the living space, perfect for families or two couples, and allowing for a pleasant degree of privacy and space.
The wide patio wraps around the casita, with gorgeous views wherever you decide to hang out. In the back, a dining table, outdoor speakers, and stainless steel barbecue grill make it a perfect spot to sit and unwind surrounded by nothing but peaceful nature. If you are an early riser, enjoy your coffee here with a perfect view of the sunrise, then wander back outside at night because the rural location means unbeatable stargazing.
While you're here, you are welcome to wander around the avocado grove. Chances are, you won't want to leave the property, but there are plenty of other relaxing things to do beyond the grove.
Head back down the winding country road and explore the town of Fallbrook just 10 to 15 minutes away. If you love wine tasting, the town has some lovely boutique wineries or you can journey just a little farther to visit the incredible Temecula Valley Wine Country. You can even drive to the beach in just about 40 minutes!
Back at the Airbnb, you can end the day with a long soak in the private hot tub as the sun goes down and the stars come out.
When the weather is warm, you also have the option to make your way to the main house on the grove (about 1500 feet from the casita) and take a swim in the beautiful infinity pool. There is a daily fee to use the pool, but it gives all casita guests exclusive access to the pool from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. And, of course, it comes with those breathtaking country views.
