1. El Campo Santo Cemetery -- Old Town San Diego
Located in the historic area of Old Town San Diego, this spooky cemetery dates back to 1849. Although it currently has only 450 visible graves, it was once home to many more gravesites that were eventually relocated as the city grew. It's believed that some of the paved areas near the cemetery may have graves resting underneath them which has led many people to believe this stretch of town is haunted. Go check it out and see for yourself.
2. Agua Mansa Pioneer Cemetery -- San Bernardino County
Dating back to 1845, Agua Mansa was once a thriving town in San Bernardino County. After a devastating flood in 1862, the area became a ghost town. All that remains in Agua Mansa is this lone cemetery.
3. Evergreen Cemetery -- Los Angeles
There's an eeriness to this cemetery that will give you the chills. Perhaps it's the aging statues scattered about the grounds or the dusty tombstones dating back to the 1800s. Whatever it is, it's enough to give you goosebumps as you walk through this old cemetery.
4. Los Angeles National Cemetery
A never-ending ocean of white tombstones is what you'll find at the 114-acre Los Angeles National Cemetery in Sawtelle. It's hauntingly beautiful. Dating back to 1889, this cemetery has been the final resting place for war veterans across many generations.
5. Mt. Hope Cemetery -- San Diego
There's nothing disturbing about this well-maintained cemetery that dates back to 1869, until you realize a trolley runs through the middle of the cemetery grounds. How would you like to be on that trolley after dark? I think I'll take a different form of transportation at night!
6. Hollywood Forever Cemetery -- Los Angeles
Founded in 1899, Hollywood Forever Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in the Los Angeles area. This cemetery is known for its notable burials of some of Hollywood's legends of the entertainment industry. The extravagant tombstones are quite the sight to see.
