I was born and raised in sunny Southern California and will never tire of the West Coast, although I spent several years living in Southeast Asia, about as far from California as you can get. Wherever I am in the world, I love straying from the beaten path, experiencing local life, and discovering hidden gems - camera in hand. The beach is my happy place and when I am not there (or writing), you will usually find me baking, watching movies, and cuddling my pugs. I have traveled around the country and around the world, and it never, ever gets old. Being able to combine my passion for travel and my love of writing is nothing short of a dream.
We just love breakfast. We also love lunch. And, of course, who doesn’t love a fabulous brunch? We want it fast and easy, but it also needs to taste amazing. And if it’s a beautiful presentation, all the better, right? Well, it turns out there is a cafeteria-style restaurant in Southern California that serves up all of that and more.
Small and unassuming, with its back to the main street, this cafe is quite literally a hidden gem that is only fully discovered when you step inside.
Breakfasts are a big deal at W Cafe, literally. Whether you choose a Sunrise Sandwich, Protein Scramble, Huevos Newport, Caveman’s Breakfast, or one of the many other options, you just simply cannot go wrong.
If you come here for breakfast but happen to have a serious sweet tooth, this place has you covered with indulgent options - Donut French Toast and Banana Foster French Toast. Breakfast never tasted so sweet.
W Cafe also prides itself on its sandwiches - from cold Blackened Chicken BLT, Chicken Curry, and Caprese Buffalo Mozzarella to hot Turkey Asparagus Melt, Spicy Roast Beef, and Chicken Parmigiana, just to name a few. You can also order Angus beef, lamb, turkey, and veggie burgers.

Mediterranean favorites like Shish Kabobs are made fresh and full of classic flavors.
Even a simple salad is a beautiful hand-prepared creation full of color, flavor, and well, flowers. Choose from at least nine different salad options, such as Chicken Curry, Grilled Salmon, Rib Eye, and Apple Green Salad.
If you are near, or can get to, Irvine, we suggest a visit to W Cafe and Restaurant. Would you agree? Have you ever been to this cafeteria-style restaurant in Southern California? Tell us what you think in the comments. Then, check out these SoCal restaurants that are more than they appear.
