Although popping inside the Discovery Center is a fun adventure in and of itself, this short and sweet hike is just the thing you need when you're seeking some fresh mountain air and a refreshing break in the great outdoors.
The Big Bear Discovery Center Nature Trail is less than one mile -- 1/2 mile to be exact -- so it can be enjoyed by most any skill level. As we mentioned, it's so easy even the kids will enjoy it.
The trail is located right outside the Discovery Center. Although it should be easy to locate, if you're having trouble finding it, the staff at the Discovery Center will gladly help point you in the right direction.
Although the trail is a delightful place to hike or walk all year long, we especially love it when there's nothing but a bright blue sky overhead. What a view!
This short and sweet hike is quite enjoyable on your own, but if you prefer a guided nature walk from an expert, show up on Saturdays and Sundays all year long for an informative guided tour of the trail.
