San Elijo State Beach Campground is a popular camping destination in Del Mar. It is located inside San Elijo State Beach, just 20 miles north of San Diego on the Southern California coastline. To enjoy this outdoor haven, be sure to reserve your campsite up to six months in advance of the arrival date.

The campground sits atop a gorgeous bluff overlooking the ocean. From your campsite, you can observe surfers, divers, snorkelers, anglers, beachcombers, and swimmers enjoying the shores and water. To join them, take the staircase that leads down the beach.

San Elijo State Beach Campground offers 156 dog-friendly campsites, sites with hookups, and dump stations. Each site accommodates 8 people maximum, children included. Your site can accommodate two vehicles - one driven and one towed. Trailers, campers, and motorhomes can be up to 35 feet.

Overnight fees vary, depending on the site you choose. There is a standard campsite, a premium oceanfront site without hook-up, and a premium oceanfront site with hook-up. Each site offers a fire ring, picnic table, drinking water, and restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers.
