The Lochness Monster. Medusa. Sasquatch. What do these three creatures have in common? Easy, as they are all make-believe, right? Wrong! In fact, we have seen Sasquatch with our very own eyes, as he just so happens to reside right here in South Dakota:
Located in Keystone, the world's largest Sasquatch is just that - a 23-foot-tall behemoth of a carving!
Created by the insanely talented Dahl's Chainsaw Art, this eye-catching, easy-to-spot statue was the work of Jarrett Dahl and his crew, who carved the giant with chainsaws and ponderosa pine, cedar, and cottonwood.
Crafted in a matter of months, Sasquatch (or Big Foot) has been an area favorite since he first made his appearance in late 2020, so much so that Keystone threw a commemorative "Big Foot Bash" to unveil the statue.
When you visit Sasquatch and the rest of the gang at Dahl's Chainsaw Art, be sure to bring your camera, as there are tons of one-of-a-kind photo opportunities.
Do you wish that you could have a 23-foot-tall sculpture of your own (or maybe something a bit more discreet)? Just ask, as Dahl's sells most of their art and does custom pieces.
