South Dakota’s towns run the gamut from rural, farm towns to Black Hills towns surrounded by forest, to cities full of art. Here’s one of the state’s coolest towns – and it has a rock ‘n roll vibe.
The thriving town of Vermillion is located in the far southeastern corner of the state.
With just under 10,000 students, the University's presence here really sets the tone. Vermillion has no problem staying current with this many college students!
In addition to collections featuring some of the oldest and most valuable musical instruments in the world, the museum has a large collection of American guitars. The collection features Martin guitars that were played by Elvis.
