Travel Back To The 80s At Press Start, A Retro Arcade Bar In South Dakota
If you’re old enough to remember how fun the video games of the 80s and 90s were, you know that nothing that has come out since has quite been able to top their charm (PacMan, anyone?). Luckily, there’s a retro arcade right here in South Dakota that captures all that original magic — and they even serve alcohol. The next time you find yourself near Rapid City, check out Press Start.

Since their opening at the end of 2015, they've become one of the most popular hangouts in the city.

Monday through Friday hours are 4 p.m. until midnight, Saturday hours are 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and they're open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Sundays.

In addition to the older classic games, they've always got a few new and exciting additions to try.

DeMaro got the idea for this venture a few years before he opened the arcade, when he played Donkey Kong while in Omaha, Nebraska. He was so engrossed in the game he forgot to eat dinner, and he realized other people would also want to experience the nostalgia he and his friends had been feeling that night. He partnered with Marc Lynn to open this fine establishment, and the rest is history.

These are Sour Patch shots (but you're welcome to order a cold beer or classic cocktail as well).

Doesn't this look inviting?

You can order pizza, wings, and more here, and they always have weekly specials.

And prices are kept as reasonable as possible, so you can play as long as you'd like.
If you love playing video games, this place is a must. Experience the fun of your childhood (with a little booze) at Press Start.
