If you’re ready to climb off that couch and get back out into South Dakota’s beautiful natural scenery, now’s the time! Here’s an adventure you might not think of, but once you try it, you’ll be hooked.
Custer State Park is South Dakota's most precious gem, and one of the best places to visit when you're looking for some outdoor recreation.
You might think that you need to be super strong or fit to be a climber...but with the kind of climbing terrain in Custer State Park, you'll mostly be concerned with stepping and standing as you go. You don't need to be able to do even a single pull-up to learn to climb here!
You'll start with a short overview of the basic skills you'll need. All the climbing gear is supplied; just make sure to wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and long pants. Bring a water bottle and some snacks or a lunch.
The Discover Climbing Adventure is a group class, and you'll have a blast learning to climb and making new friends.
If you'd like a more in-depth adventure, the Six Hour Climbing Adventure is also designed for beginners. You'll be accompanied by your own private climbing team and will have more hands-on instruction, plus a longer day of exploring.
If you're ready to take on a new challenge and reach heights you've never dreamed of...this is the outdoor adventure for you!
