You definitely don’t want to forget your camera. The adventure park also features an 800-foot zipline, a 2,000-foot alpine slide, and an aerial adventure park.

One of the best ways to explore Mount Rushmore is on the .6-mile Presidential Trail. The short, sweet, and easy trail leads you on a meandering journey through lush green trees, past mountain goats, and by the presidents themselves. If you’re visiting Mount Rushmore during the summer, keep an eye out for one of the interpretive programs hosted by park rangers. The programs offer a fascinating insight into the monument and how it was built. If you’re bringing kiddos between five and 12 years of age along, they can join the Junior Rangers Program. The program features fun activities, and participants can earn certificates of participation.
